One of DR Studios’s most notable developments is that of its scripting language. DR Engine & Art Tools

DR Studios utilises an advanced suite of art tools which allow our talented artists to achieve quality visuals first time, every time.

Our adaptive rigging system allows effortless re-use of animations, recompiling animations at the touch of a button to match your models. Able to convert four or two-legged animations in seconds, our innovative toolset allows maximum re-use of assets with minimum effort.

Body Wireframe

Our automatic lip-synch generation further extends the power of our animation system. Using our proprietary speech-to-phoneme tools, we can take files directly from the recording studio and produce accurate animations automatically.

Multichannel texture support comes in-built with our art tools, allowing normal maps, specular maps and reflection maps as standard. What is more, being highly extensible, new channels can be added as required by the project.

DRengine

Since our toolset features the integrated DR Engine, all of the models and animations can be previewed as they are built, levels can be built within the game engine and the output can be exported ready for PC, Wii or Xbox 360 at the touch of a button. To further streamline the process, the art tools are tied into the content management system; as soon as a file is submitted, it can be immediately integrated into the current game-build for testing.
